first investigation

[On Friday morning, the second Friday for the Thanatos Institute apprentices in the tower, the outside sun rises and spreads its light through the arrow slit windows in the tower’s stone walls. People rise from their beds, some earlier risers than others, and shuffle along to begin their day.

Things are quiet, even with the lowkey air of anxiety that’s lingered since Tuesday when the Alchemist made his offer and Bryn attacked Bruno with an animalistic fervor. It’s probably fine, this hanging silence in the air.

Probably.]

...first time in person. Things don't look the same in visions.

[And the deaths he's seen in visions were, at worst, accidents. Violence doesn't much touch the Encanto. They were never people he knew very well, either - easy when you don't associate with the villagers much at all.]

If...if I'd tried...I could have warned them. She wouldn't have had to find out that way.

[He couldn't have stopped it. But should he have warned them? It would've just upset everyone, ruined everything early and probably made them angry at Bruno, but at least Stella probably wouldn't have done what she just did. Bruno didn't even try. He should have tried after everything on Tuesday. Julieta or Pepa would have.]

But it would have still happened, correct? You said you cannot change the events in your visions, it would have only cause undue anxiety.

The only person to blame is the one who did this.

...I guess. Maybe it would've just been worse.

[It would've scared Wu. And angered Stella. Though, maybe if she'd blinded him, at least he wouldn't have to worry about visions anymore?]
