[It's been almost a week since Orthrus' lucky escape. Almost a week, of all calls to Heisenberg going (metaphorically) to voicemail. Almost a week, to rest and recover from the harrowing losses of the previous Friday.

It's been almost a week. And the storms are getting worse.

You know the locked door on the first floor? The one that goes into the center of the tower, right across from the great entry hall doors?

Today, there's a heavy iron key sticking out of the lock. With a familiar crest on the head.

The key is sticky with wet yellow paint, and wetter blood.]

[It's the morgue! Yaaaay!

There's a shiny steel table in the center of the room, a springy sprayer hose hanging from the ceiling, a wheeled cart next to the table, and a counter.

On the cart, there's a notebook, and on the counter there is a typewriter.]

[Okay! A morgue! Now this is stuff Katsuya sure has seen before, many times]

I'll take a look over here.

[To the typewriter! Since, judging by people not knowing what a TV is, Katsuya assumes they also won't know what a typewriter is, so he'll handle it, yup]

[Probably a good call! This is a pretty fancy typewriter with gold filigree. It seems remarkably well-maintained, and even has a fresh ribbon of ink in it.

Oh, and upon closer inspection, six of the keys have a smudge of yellow paint on them.]

[A look at the typewriter makes Katsuya convinced he took the right decision by being the one to check this. Why are there so many W on this typewriter, what was whoever made this thinking?!

Let's check which keys have the yellow paint on them.

[Assuming it's a QWERTY keyboard, it's actually E, R, T, W (A), S, and W (V).]

[Oh, noting this down, that's for sure. What could Heisenberg have typed with this...? And recently, for the yellow paint to be here? Better take a look around, just in case. Any paper? Anything that seems like it may have been typed?]

[There is no paper or parchment nearby.

But, weirdly for such an analog typewriter, there is some kind of a cord than runs from the back of the typewriter and into the wall...]

[Hoh, unusual typewriter! Katsuya follows the cord, wondering if perhaps he could manage to do something with the cord going into the wall here. What a strange item, this is turning out to be!]

[Whatever the cord is attached to, is either very deep in the wall or very heavy. Pulling on the cord isn't going to get him very far.]

[Is destroying the wall a viable option? Would it cause more problems than benefits?]

[arsholes]

[Do you want to try typing something to try and trigger an event first?]

[YOU KNOW WHAT THAT'S INDEED A BETTER IDEA WHOOOOPS

Returning to the typewriter. So, there are many keys marked with yellow paint. Supposing something was typed using one single letter each time...

Katsuya wishes he had gloves before manipulating potential evidence. Let's give this a try.

'STARVE' was what he wrote, as a first try. Let's see how that goes]

[Don't mind Nuadha drifting over to hover, glancing over Katsuya's shoulder.]

That would be an unsettling choice in this room.

[He hasn't thought of a second one yet though.]

[A yellow light comes on within the mechanism of the typewriter.

Closer examination reveals that it's the fourth light in a row of 6.]

[ Well, Felix was probably following along pretty closeby and so he happens to see this.

He'll head on over to check out the notebook! What's going on over there? ]

[Ah, yes! The autopsy notebook! A notebook written in Heisenberg's handwriting that contains detailed postmortem notes on everyone who has died so far in the tower, including the culprits!]

[ ...Well, he can't say he's a man who does half-ass things, so uh. Well, that's a rather extensive notetaking he's looking over here.

Anything else that'd be worth examining within those notes or anywhere on or in the notebook? ]

[Heisenberg also did some ominous notetaking in the margins.

(Also, Jasper's autopsy is just a polaroid of the pendant that dropped when he was executed.)

The notes say things like "Seems in good physical condition" for Wu, "non-human" for Red Velvet and Fern, just "NO" across the page for Zenos...

Notably, the autopsies for Stella and Loki seem to be the least detailed, out of the ones he had time to thoroughly autopsy (meaning not the last three, either). Olive's also has barely more than the obvious details and none of the ominous footnoes, but there's something about it that seems more clinical than the other two.]

[ Ominous notetaking? Well, let's take a look then.

Felix keeps his face straight at just the picture of the pendant just barely.

...Because, like, okay. What was he meant supposed to do?

Anyway, his eyes flickers over the rest, though he does notate them including the least detailed of the two, and how clinical he was with Olive's. He will keep flipping through the pages to ensure he doesn't miss anything else either. ]

[There are some doodles in the back of the notebook. Of funky vaguely human-shaped monsters breathing fire or acid or something.

It looks like something that a seventh-grader would draw, with scribbles of "blood" spurting out everywhere. One of the monsters is holding a doodle that is probably supposed to be Somnus in its teeth. Or, like, maybe half of Somnus.

Given that this doodle is upside down and in the back of the notebook, it probably got there by him flipping the notebook over and drawing in the back, so you can guess it was probably made before Somnus died.]

What frivolous nonsense.

[ He has little to no doubt that Somnus would absolutely have enjoyed seeing this one.

Jokes aside, Felix will set the notebook down after double-checking it and ensuring there is no other important things or funny business (literally) going on here. Then, on second thought, pocket the thing because sure. Why not? ]

[The only other thing to note in this room that isn't typewriter-related is that this isn't the room where the bodies are stored.

Technically speaking that makes it more of an autopsy theater than a morgue, but still.]

That aside, he is going to look around. No additional doors of note? ]

...It'll probably open when someone does something right with the typewriter, huh. ]
