week 1
[Yesterday was, to say the least, an eventful time. 21 people waking up in an alarming kidnapping situation, tempers got heated, salt was thrown, the usual flavor of shenanigans.
Your Alchemist made his appearance, got into several arguments, scruffed a teen and nailed a god. All in all, a productive time! It doesn’t seem like he’ll be making any more public appearances this week but he did say to give him a call.
If you don't want to converse with the Alchemist, there's a whole tower to explore! Check out all the dusty nooks and crannies, read some smutty literature, try to build a death ray, take a cozy bath- the Montessori method of learning. Curiously, starting on Monday there are mysterious leaflet catalogs scattered in several rooms of the tower. There’s no shop name on it, but there are pictures of a variety of fun and fanciful items, just a preview of the many rare and/or exotic goods you could get from one of the shop's Grand Opening Sale blind boxes. There is also a large wooden chest that has appeared in the Entrance Hall right next to the grand entrance doors, despite the fact that they remain locked. A locked mailbox hangs on the wall above the box, along with several envelopes. The mailbox says "CATALOG ORDERS", and there is a handwritten note that adds: "Write your name on the envelope as well as your order. INCLUDE PAYMENT, or it's no deal. <3"
In related news, many of you will also be receiving mysterious gold coins on top of your trunk – maybe this is the payment referenced?
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting catalog orders for any threads that aren't with the Alchemist. This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

[ Azul's so thankful he wasn't touching anything hot right at the moment Bryn popped up out of nowhere. He clears his throat and pushes his glasses back up as he regains his composure before continuing on. He was in the Cooking Zone for a moment there. ]
Ahem... Thank you. My family is in the restaurant business, so I should hope so. It's garlic shrimp risotto with steamed green beans.

Shrimp! How incredible! Our host must have spared no expense in supplying our food if we've been given seafood of all things!
[ She looks like she just might pop with excitement. ]

Indeed- it seems the kitchen gets restocked daily, so we don't have to worry much about the quality or freshness, either. There's quite a few different kinds of fish in there as well, last I checked!
[ Azul's got quite a few ideas for future meals for himself! ...Now it's just the other thing of if he's willing to share his culinary prowess with the rest of the group. The probability is low, but not zero. ]

[ it almost makes you forget being stuck in a horrible murder castle!! ]

[ And if anything, he can do a little spell to make the fish not kill anyone upon consumption! The last thing he needs here is accidental murder by his own cooking. ]

[ Dragons just eat whatever they can get – and if there are any gourmets among them, Wagner certainly wasn't one. ]

[ He perks up slightly at that though- interesting. ]
I see. What are the mountains like? I can't say I've visited any before.

[ She lets that hang for a moment before giggling to herself and giving him a grin that makes it clear she's just goofin'. ]
It's a bit hard to describe, though... I lived there for as long as I could remember, so I didn't have much in the way of comparisons. The weather was always at extremes, though – scorching in summer and deathly cold in winter. It was quite a trek down to the nearest village and the path was quite difficult to navigate, so they were very... quiet, I suppose. And quite barren. Really, they weren't much to look at.

I see. Having limited food options certainly makes sense given how high up you were, then.
[ If only Jade was here- he'd have more mountain knowledge than he currently has. ]

[ She pumps her fist as if to emphasize just how big and tough she is. ]
It's just that I didn't get to enjoy much interesting food until I'd flown the nest, so to speak.
no subject
[ He lets out a small chuckle at the fist pump. ]
And that's fair. Little did I realize just how many interesting foods I had missed out on until I came up to the surface.
no subject
[ Now where has she heard that before? ]
Are you from underground like the elves, perhaps?
[ It would explain the goth aesthetic...! ]
no subject
[ He might as well just say it since it's on his profile. ]
More of a watery underground, if you will- I'm one of the merfolk.
no subject
Is that so...! I'd always been told talk of the merfolk in our waters were nothing but tall tales told by children.
[ Going by her smile, she's clearly delighted to have been proven wrong. ]
Perhaps this is a foolish question, but... what is life like, out there in the ocean?
