[Yesterday was, to say the least, an eventful time. 21 people waking up in an alarming kidnapping situation, tempers got heated, salt was thrown, the usual flavor of shenanigans.

Your Alchemist made his appearance, got into several arguments, scruffed a teen and nailed a god. All in all, a productive time! It doesn’t seem like he’ll be making any more public appearances this week but he did say to give him a call.

If you don't want to converse with the Alchemist, there's a whole tower to explore! Check out all the dusty nooks and crannies, read some smutty literature, try to build a death ray, take a cozy bath- the Montessori method of learning. Curiously, starting on Monday there are mysterious leaflet catalogs scattered in several rooms of the tower. There’s no shop name on it, but there are pictures of a variety of fun and fanciful items, just a preview of the many rare and/or exotic goods you could get from one of the shop's Grand Opening Sale blind boxes. There is also a large wooden chest that has appeared in the Entrance Hall right next to the grand entrance doors, despite the fact that they remain locked. A locked mailbox hangs on the wall above the box, along with several envelopes. The mailbox says "CATALOG ORDERS", and there is a handwritten note that adds: "Write your name on the envelope as well as your order. INCLUDE PAYMENT, or it's no deal. <3"

In related news, many of you will also be receiving mysterious gold coins on top of your trunk – maybe this is the payment referenced?

If it's true that the Alchemist, or whoever he is working for, picked us randomly... well, it's not surprising some of them are not trained to deal with any sort of pressure.

They're going to snap unless they're reassured nothing will happen. The Alchemist appearing was enough to rattle them, if anything else happens they're not going to be able to take this at all.

[People don't go around murdering for no reason! But as he sees it, if there's any sort of pressure we'll have trouble!]

He seemed confidant in what he was doing, so I doubt he will just let us be and ruin his plans, whatever they are. We need to be prepared for that.

[spitessier]

I'm already working on that! I have... [Katsuya sighs] ...been drafted as Wu's bodyguard somehow. I'll keep an eye on him so he doesn't get murdered or kills someone, at least.

[Katsuya doesn't seem 100% happy about it because Wu is really enthusiastic and is now convinced they're best pals and Katsuya doesn't really mind that, all things considered? But he didn't see it coming either way and part of him feels like he should have been more careful with his promises to protect people!]

For Wu?

[Oh he's *cackling*]

[The cackle doesn't get Katsuya to join, that's for sure. Instead he nods, understanding fully well why that'd make someone else laugh, goodness gracious]

I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but if it helps him stay calm then I suppose I will grin and bear it. So far it seems to be a title without any true guarding -- I guess I'm expected to defend him if there's any combat against the Alchemist.

[Which, hey, Katsuya is fine with. All along he intended to shield anyone who may not be as prepared for combat as he is! And it's not like Wu demands him to stay behind him 24/7, so all in all, this is not too bad of a job, he supposes, haha]

And what if someone attempts to intact that rule?

I'm not his caretaker, despite what he says. He'll have to take care of himself in his own and not put himself in danger.

[Especially because they're not even in the same dormitory]

If anything happens, of course I will handle the situation. I am a trained detective.

[He'll have to touch so many dead bodies this murdergame, that's for sure. Hell, his Persona game begins with him examining a murder crime scene]
