Week 2 Monday Night Pajama Party!!

[HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE PAJAMA PARTY! They’ve really gone all out here, because the tables have all been pushed up to the wall (thank you, Finn) to make room on the floor for pillows and blankets and some cushions, too. There’s also streamers and other decorations hung up for a party-type atmosphere, as well as nice quality baijuand plum wine chilled and set out along with glasses for consumption. Next to that, there’s a variety of hors d’oeuvres to be noshed on, along with whatever anyone else has brought. There’s several balls of light floating around, courtesy of Stella, to give the place a nice, cozy glow.

Feel free to make yourself comfortable, grab some hors d’oeuvres and something to drink, and settle in for some sleepover activities or just sitting around and mingling. If you’ve brought something for the party, you can add it to the list here, or if there’s a game or an activity you’d like to host, feel free to add it on to this top level and it’ll get added to the navigation! I wouldn't say dealing with... I mean, it's surprising, and a little awkward. But it's sort of nostalgic, that's all.

That's amazing! Where I'm from, sometimes a part of a master work of art can come to life and leave the page or the canvas, but that's really different from what you can do. Can you make just about anything?

Creating life from art is quite a power.

[He gives a small shrug to that question. The thought of giving the exhaustive explanation of exoflection that's crossing his mind is clearly A Lot.]

Within reason and my own knowledge. It takes energy. It isn't an efficient way to make food.

Still, it's really something! I'm sure you've helped a lot of people like that. ...But why did you hesitate? Is there something wrong?

I was considering how to condense more than a decade of training into an adequate explanation.

[He says it just a little dryly, but it's probably the better outcome than him touching on that first part.]

What does "The Medium" mean, then?

It... I'm something called a Tamayori. Named for the goddess, I think. Somebody who can see ghosts and spirits and interact with them. I really only did channeling once, mostly I just try to talk to them...

[She looks around and then at Nuadha to gauge his reaction.]

[Nuadha takes that in with a thoughtful nod, more considering than skeptical.]

Channeling? What would that entail?

Letting the ghost speak and act through me so other people can hear what they're saying. I think I managed to get some people to see her, too, but it didn't last long -- only until they turned around, and then it didn't stick. I'm sorry, I was never really taught anything.

You should take more care allowing one to use you like that. I would think talking to them would be sufficient.

[At least it sounds pretty tenuous but... still.]

Ougai-san is always trying to tell me to be more careful. But I can't help it. If I see somebody who needs help, and I can do something about it, I can't stop.

[There is a terrible calculation grinding through Nuadha's head which goes something like:

This girl is not his responsibility. -> This girl needs to be someone's responsibility. -> This girl is, almost certainly, already Baldr's concern, and therefore by transitive property Nuadha's problem as well.]

...This Ougai sounds to be in a position to know. The sentiment is admirable. But you can't be of help to others if you get yourself into trouble.

In order to get out of here, I think we should use all of the powers at our disposal. But if you're going to go poking your nose into something you should tell me. Or Baldr.

Loki-san said the same thing. I'll be careful. I did hear something weird just before the party, but it wasn't much. Maybe it just isn't very strong.
