Week 2 Monday Night Pajama Party!!

[HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE PAJAMA PARTY! They’ve really gone all out here, because the tables have all been pushed up to the wall (thank you, Finn) to make room on the floor for pillows and blankets and some cushions, too. There’s also streamers and other decorations hung up for a party-type atmosphere, as well as nice quality baijuand plum wine chilled and set out along with glasses for consumption. Next to that, there’s a variety of hors d’oeuvres to be noshed on, along with whatever anyone else has brought. There’s several balls of light floating around, courtesy of Stella, to give the place a nice, cozy glow.

Feel free to make yourself comfortable, grab some hors d’oeuvres and something to drink, and settle in for some sleepover activities or just sitting around and mingling. If you’ve brought something for the party, you can add it to the list here, or if there’s a game or an activity you’d like to host, feel free to add it on to this top level and it’ll get added to the navigation! [All of the tables have been pushed up against the wall to make room for lounging, but that doesn’t mean they’re not in use!]

[ A medium-sized variety of teas and cakes one might see at a café! They're all fancy restaurant quality items, like red velvet cheesecake, and the like. There are also some little cards underneath each tray that explains what items are there. Somehow Azul made it work with what they have in the kitchen.

...There's also a sign that says: "Reserved for Guests who also bring snacks. If you have not brought anything and wish to partake, you may consult with Azul Ashengrotto to strike a bargain." ]

[Let’s be honest, at a party, sometimes the buffet is the place to be. Though this is no royal banquet, there’s enough to snack on and observe, or stand moodily around and wait for someone to talk to you. Live your best life.]

Avatar's Game

[Once the party’s gotten started, Wu, adorned in green and yellow silk pajamas and a purple silk robe over it is going to get as many people as possible gathered up]

Alright, everyone! It’s not a real party until we’ve played Avatar’s Game!

[and then he pulls out a cup with 21 sticks in it, presenting it for everyone to see like it's some kind of golden chalice when it's really just a cup from the kitchen] So! Here’s the deal! Each round, everyone draws a stick each round with a number. There’s 20 numbers, and one stick with a blue mark on it, since the current Avatar is from the Southern Water Tribe. Whoever gets the Avatar Stick is the Avatar for that round, and they get to give an order to whatever number they want. Nobody reveal your number until the Avatar has given their order!

Once they’ve done so, that number has to do what the Avatar ordered. [he wrinkles his nose a bit] And it can’t be super unreasonable or weird or something someone really really wouldn’t want to do. If so, you forfeit your round as Avatar and have to wait until you get the Avatar Stick again. Got it? Good!

~Spooky Stories~

[At some point in the night, Stella will rally everyone around her for a good ol’ group hang. This is the whole reason some of you have even showed up, she might as well follow through. Once everyone’s gathered, she starts… well, almost holding court.]

Congratulations on no one killing one another this week. That means it’s just three more.

After this week’s surprise [She’s casting Wu a look. He still hasn’t escaped the look.], we should try and prevent any more. Has anyone collected any information?

… And I won’t say no to gossip, either.

With him, at least, it seems a lot more like nerves than general standoffishness. He's just hanging out in a corner, hood drawn up over his head, feeding and muttering to the rat perched on his shoulder. This gathering is a lot smaller and more casual than what he's used to, but parties have long since been a stressful affair for him. At least people probably won't yell at him this time?]

[Wallflower? Stella? Never.

Not one to ever miss a party theme, Stella's actually in pajamas-- a pink silk duo, her hair meticulously styled into a ponytail that would look effortless if she weren't always striving for perfection. She flutters about the party, adjusting the light orbs occasionally to better suit the mood, making sure the spreads still look nice, and generally getting into people's business. Eventually, though, she does sit down and relax, against her elaborately set up mattress and pillow setup, so she can comfortably watch over the rest of the party. She's ready to step in if anything goes wrong, but for now... She's just vibing.]

[Hubert is here! He didn't bring food and is once again not *eating* any of it, but he looks better than he did yesterday at least. SO he has slept and eat at least a bit.

No pjs but mostly because he doesn't own a pair. But he is dressed down to his shirt and slacks instead of his entire uniform and has... eye masks under his eyes that Wu gave him. He seems to find them amusing??? Honestly the effect of Hubert looking so casual loops right around to ghoulish]

This is certainly... cozier than any party I have been to before.

[Baldr is here and he's dressed for the occasion because one can't come to a pajama party and not wear pajamas, that's violating the natural order of things! He may in fact be policing this just a tiny bit-- if he sees someone not wearing some, he's quick to go over and ask if they'd like a pair. (Where is he getting them from? Shh, shh)

He'll be flitting around and chatting people up (as well as helping himself to the buffet food), though in general he's sticking fairly close to Nuadha's side... but part of that might be because said grump looks like he might take any potential opportunity to flee the scene and that is Not Allowed. It's a party, everyone here should be having fun and he's going to attempt to make sure that happens.

[ Olive shows up a little late, leaves some food at the buffet, and then... immediately joins the wallflower brigade. She isn't even in her pajamas, though whether she has pajamas here or not is maybe unclear.

She isn't entirely not participating - she's keeping an eye on the party and she's not totally closed off - but she absolutely brought a book and is mostly hanging out and reading that book. ]

[There's one more grumpy wallflower hanging out at the perimeter, usually grudgingly in Baldr's radius. Possibly unexpectedly, Nuadha is in fact wearing pajamas, sans sword but complete with smoking jacket. Because why go to a pajama party if you're not going to take it extremely seriously.

The longer the night wears on without Baldr letting him escape, Nuadha will be making more forays over to the food, trying a little of most things. Anyone catching him later might find him much more relaxed than average. Almost pleasant? Maybe even sociable enough to actually speak to people.]

[ Bryn has... literally never been to a pajama party before! She kind of understands the assignment, though, given that she's turned up in pajamas as requested, a long nightgown that falls right down to her ankles. It's the first time she's been out and about around the others without her armor on and she looks particularly small and dainty for once.

Not that you should let it fool you. She's still as... Bryn as ever, either happily pecking away at the buffet food or coming over to invade your space if you're wallflowering. Should you look to be actually taking part in the party, though, Bryn might sidle up during a quiet moment with her brow furrowed a bit. ]

So... what is it you're supposed to do at a party like this, precisely?

[For the most part, Wu is having a GREAT TIME. He's all dressed up in a pair of green and yellow silk pajamas, with a purple silk robe on top. He's gotten scared a bit, played some Avatar's game, eaten some delicious things from the buffet (not counting Finn's uh...spaghetti. That, he didn't eat,) and had uhhhh a sincere amount to drink. Both of baiju and plum wine, and also that strange drink with the runes on it. Delicious! He is now feeling very warm and very loosey goosey so he's going to just plop himself down next to anyone he feels like, throwing an arm around their shoulders]

[Loki doesn't actually show up until after this whole debacle. After he done checking on Stella, he comes back in, placing his offering of fine Elven wine on the buffet table and begins to mingle. He seems in high spirits after his and Bruno's little show!]
