week 6

[On Sunday morning, there is a small gift waiting for the early risers in the tower: a dull lead key (don't lick it), dangling from a length of twine tied to the wooden beam across the ceiling at the cross section of the four dorms. Upon further inspection it has a particular symbol on the back half and a note that reads "Good job. Here's your reward". The note is signed Lord H. The key goes to sixth floor, where there is the same symbol etched above the keyhole on the lock.

The new floor is even more grand than the previous ballroom, a full theatre for their enjoyment. But it doesn't take away the burning sting of certain people who would have loved to see it.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

WEEKLY DEALS

1. Random Record Shuffle* - A funky fresh record you can play in a record player! The only catch is Garfield gets to pick the artist. *One per customer [1 coin]
(cw: creepy doll) 2. Angie - The ultimate haunted(?) doll, the sweet babiest sister. There is a massive crack in her head. [5 coins]
3. The Katana of Kant - A magical sentient katana that, when unsheathed, the wielder must have a philosophical debate over whether the act they're about to commit is a moral one in order to be able to use it. If the wielder wins, an attack will do double the damage. The katana also has a German accent. [Free, Please Take It]

LEFTOVER STOCK AT 50% MARK-UP ON SALE
1. Greater Hat of Disguise - A hat that lets you transform your appearance for as long as you're wearing it. You choose exactly how you look and sound, with the hat transforming to whatever headgear you choose. (You still have to sell the act though.) [2 coins]
2. Moon God Mask - A very large moon mask that covers your entire head. It kind of makes you want to either get a hamburger or form a cult. [1 coin]
3. The Tingler - The whole hand tingles from wearing this ring, as if more blood rushes through the area. [1 coin]

(( OOC: Don't forget to submit your orders for any threads that aren't with Heisenberg or Garfield! And don't forget activity check! ))

Really? Not a single good vision, ever?

[He said he doesn't remember the last time, Katsuya. Still, it leads him to ask, pushing into a bowl the chopped vegetables he was working with]

I take your reluctance means you don't tend to use your power often anyway.

Not when I can get away with not using it.

[Bruno takes the vegetables, adding them to the stew.]

Most of the family usually spends their days in the village...helping people with their gifts. It's what our family does. I think one of the worst fights I ever had with my mother was when I stopped going. I didn't even stop doing visions, I just...made them come to my tower instead. I figured, if they had to come to the house and climb all those stairs, they wouldn't unless it was really important - and I guess, maybe if people didn't see me doing it all the time, they'd forget how scary it looked. Obviously it didn't work, I just turned into more of a boogeyman once I was gone...

...better to know the future no matter how bad it'll be than to be caught unaware -- I guess.

[That's the only explanation he sees about why people would even try to get Bruno to see the future, given his reputation]

What kind of visions do people try to get from you, exactly? I'd have thought getting in touch with you would happen only in very special occassions, even when you weren't in that tower.

People don't really think that. They think they do, but then they find out it's just...waiting for the axe to fall.

[Who wants that?]

It used to be...whatever, honestly. When I was a kid, sometimes I'd pass out if I did too many in a row, but I got better about it over the years. Used to be able to do maybe seven a day. That's - that's excluding the involuntary ones, of course, those just happen.

[So many predictions in one single day?! That's...

...especially when you aren't enthused about doing it, wow]

That sounds like a lot -- even someone who enjoys getting predictions would find that a burden.

Yeah, well. That's what being a Madrigal is.
