[On Sunday morning, there is a small gift waiting for the early risers in the tower: a dull lead key (don't lick it), dangling from a length of twine tied to the wooden beam across the ceiling at the cross section of the four dorms. Upon further inspection it has a particular symbol on the back half and a note that reads "Good job. Here's your reward". The note is signed Lord H. The key goes to sixth floor, where there is the same symbol etched above the keyhole on the lock.

The new floor is even more grand than the previous ballroom, a full theatre for their enjoyment. But it doesn't take away the burning sting of certain people who would have loved to see it.]

From my experience, yes. The drug in those candies is meant to relax. Apparently some people also get hungry after a while.

[Carrying her is like holding a couple of grapes for him, even the added motion of her craning her neck to see out the windows doesn't throw him off balance.]

I found Bruno after he consumed the first few that came out of those boxes. Also the packaging denotes their relaxing properties.

Would you like to look out the window for a moment? [He stops next to one of the arrow slits so she can look for longer than a second or two.]

[Long pause, as she forgets what she was talking about and gets distracted by a bug.]

Okay. [She waves as they leave the window.] Where are we going, Loki-san?

Uh-huh. I decorated and everything. Didn't take down the creepy skull from the window... Jasper-san liked it. Everybody else, I don't know.

I'm sure they're grateful to you for taking it down.

[Mei slumps. And indeed, when they get to Abjuration, the crystal skull is indeed still sitting in the window next to the ex-haunted doll. She waves at it. The Long Familiar, coiled on one of the top bunks, chirps.]

La la la... Bored.

Mari-chan! [She waves to it and tries to climb off of Loki and onto the bunk.] Loki-san, this is Mari-chan. It's long.

[Loki sets Mei down on a bed and turns to give a little bow to the strange creature.]

Well met, Mari. She resembles the odd contraption I received.

[Mari-chan babbles unintelligibly back at Loki. Mei pets it.]

Yeah! One of those... Custom? I think. Garfield-san sells all kinds of things. I wonder how he picks them.
