[On Sunday morning, there is a small gift waiting for the early risers in the tower: a dull lead key (don't lick it), dangling from a length of twine tied to the wooden beam across the ceiling at the cross section of the four dorms. Upon further inspection it has a particular symbol on the back half and a note that reads "Good job. Here's your reward". The note is signed Lord H. The key goes to sixth floor, where there is the same symbol etched above the keyhole on the lock.
The new floor is even more grand than the previous ballroom, a full theatre for their enjoyment. But it doesn't take away the burning sting of certain people who would have loved to see it.]

[ Felix wants to see how well she can keep up that consistently. So, a good time to test that! ]

[She breathes in and out and strikes forward. The first few times hit, the next glances off it, a few hit in non-vital spots, one or two miss, but she manages a good hit again the last time. She catches her breath and studies the target.]

[ Felix then turns to face in her general direction properly. ]
You've been practicing with non-moving targets for awhile, but it's clear you can hit well enough. Let's move onto the next step. You will come at me and try to land at least one hit.

[She steps back, studies Felix, and runs at him. Her slash will probably be easy to dodge, but she'll follow up a few times, slightly panicked.]

[ She's coming at him with less lousy footwork, so that is admittedly already an improvement, and for now he will continue to bring up his blade up, only to push forward once the training blades meet in order to test how well she's planted her feet. ]

He blocks a couple of her strikes, and then swings out. Not too hard but firmly towards the sword to test how well she can block. ]

[ Felix adds some points that Mei has attempted to block the strike at least which is better than nothing. He also mentally notes they should start doing this more often, but he will be bringing that up at the end of this. ]
