[On Sunday morning, there is a small gift waiting for the early risers in the tower: a dull lead key (don't lick it), dangling from a length of twine tied to the wooden beam across the ceiling at the cross section of the four dorms. Upon further inspection it has a particular symbol on the back half and a note that reads "Good job. Here's your reward". The note is signed Lord H. The key goes to sixth floor, where there is the same symbol etched above the keyhole on the lock.

The new floor is even more grand than the previous ballroom, a full theatre for their enjoyment. But it doesn't take away the burning sting of certain people who would have loved to see it.]

I've never been accused of that before. But there's more if you want it.

[And in defense of Nuadha's benevolence, it's absolutely good coffee this time. He leans against the wall and watches for it to take effect, sizing up Hubert's condition.]

[He looks pale and gaunt- more than usual, at least. Remaining eye a bit sunken and ringed in black. The places where crystals sunk in and the bone had broken through his skin are now fresh pink puckered scars, lacking the smoother lines of a stitched wound. Most of his injured face is hidden by the bandaging, but what peeks out has the shiny texture of burn scars- likely from how super-heated the stone that pierced him was.

But other than the missing eye he looks whole.]

I was already feeling the ill effects of withdraw. I would rather not deal with that on top of healing...

Even with healing magic, wounds of that scale are draining. I assume you have painkillers already?
