week 1
[Yesterday was, to say the least, an eventful time. 21 people waking up in an alarming kidnapping situation, tempers got heated, salt was thrown, the usual flavor of shenanigans.
Your Alchemist made his appearance, got into several arguments, scruffed a teen and nailed a god. All in all, a productive time! It doesn’t seem like he’ll be making any more public appearances this week but he did say to give him a call.
If you don't want to converse with the Alchemist, there's a whole tower to explore! Check out all the dusty nooks and crannies, read some smutty literature, try to build a death ray, take a cozy bath- the Montessori method of learning. Curiously, starting on Monday there are mysterious leaflet catalogs scattered in several rooms of the tower. There’s no shop name on it, but there are pictures of a variety of fun and fanciful items, just a preview of the many rare and/or exotic goods you could get from one of the shop's Grand Opening Sale blind boxes. There is also a large wooden chest that has appeared in the Entrance Hall right next to the grand entrance doors, despite the fact that they remain locked. A locked mailbox hangs on the wall above the box, along with several envelopes. The mailbox says "CATALOG ORDERS", and there is a handwritten note that adds: "Write your name on the envelope as well as your order. INCLUDE PAYMENT, or it's no deal. <3"
In related news, many of you will also be receiving mysterious gold coins on top of your trunk – maybe this is the payment referenced?
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting catalog orders for any threads that aren't with the Alchemist. This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

It feels kind of weird not hearing the cannons to tell the time...
[And after wandering around a bit, come noon she'll be back to the kitchen, digging around in the ice box until she finds it: a big frozen chunk of beef. Her eyes light up.
...But it's going to take a while to defrost in time for supper. So Mei will spend the entire afternoon in the kitchen. You'll probably run into her there, studying the map or the profiles on the transmitter, reading the weekly catalogue, reading an astronomy textbook from the library, singing, loading the stove with firewood, and occasionally unwrapping the beef, salting it, and covering it back up again.
When she finally manages to cook the whole thing, she takes it out zombie-like to the supper table in the Great Hall and sets it out.]
It's for everyone...
[Even if she seems to be taking half of it onto her own plate. Girl really likes her beef.]
supper
Oh! Really? That's...wow, that's a lot of food. You cooked it all by yourself?

[Bruno slinks up to accept some of the communal meal! It's nostalgic. He stares at it for a moment, realizes that he's doing that, sits down, and stares at it some more. He looks a little bit like he might cry?]

[He hasn't even had any? He takes a hurried bite and swallows thickly.]
It's really good, thanks.

Don't mind Bryn all but materializing out of nowhere once Mei sets the beef down, her eye sparkling. ]
You cooked this by yourself, for all of us? Truly?
she's already serving herself a massive hunk of it, of course.

[She notices that, compares to her own plate with a large portion of roast beef, and sparkles.]
You like it too? Beef is my favourite thing in the world! It's quality protein!

[ And with pleasantries out of the way, she's going to go ahead and start chowing down. It's rare she and her friends have the resources or facilities to do any kind of real cooking, so a hot meal's already a novelty – a well-cooked chunk of meat like this may as well be a luxury. ]
This is incredible...! Food like this almost makes you forgive being trapped here!

You really think so? It isn't much, I just always used to listen to music, that's all. Were you looking for anything in here?

What are you in here for?

Not the most balanced of meals.

[He'll grab a plate and sit down. Food's food and he still needs to eat.]
It looks... competent enough.
