[On Sunday morning, there is a small gift waiting for the early risers in the tower: a dull lead key (don't lick it), dangling from a length of twine tied to the wooden beam across the ceiling at the cross section of the four dorms. Upon further inspection it has a particular symbol on the back half and a note that reads "Good job. Here's your reward". The note is signed Lord H. The key goes to sixth floor, where there is the same symbol etched above the keyhole on the lock.

The new floor is even more grand than the previous ballroom, a full theatre for their enjoyment. But it doesn't take away the burning sting of certain people who would have loved to see it.]

[Nuadha has to check these things religiously despite his absolutely appalling gacha luck thus far. He bends to scoop up the WHIS cards with a strange expression, maybe mostly exasperation.]

He can find these but not my sword?

Maybe he already has it and is just taking his sweet time giving it to you.

[ To increase the suspense? What does he know, anyway. ]

And what are these exactly? Playing cards?

He's confirmed as much. Although it took him some time to be certain, with how many of our swords he had. [...] At this point, I suspect he's just waiting for me to make a deal for it.

[Nuadha sighs and flips over a card, eyeing the water and rainbow symbol for a moment.]

It's a popular children's game. ...No stranger than anything else he's put in these, I suppose.

I suppose that would be natural, given he's a merchant. But, I will keep an eye out for it if you want.

[ It can't hurt, as far as he's concerned. As long as he knows what it looks like! Not that it will keep someone else from finding it either. ]

[He holds his hands apart to demonstrate the length just for good measure, given the sheer number of swords floating around.]

It sounds like a blade with excellent craftsmanship. Even if I don't end up being the one who finds it, whenever you do get it, show it to me.

[ Felix is thinking already of certain swords crafted by Zoltan. It's why he definitely had a collection of well created blades back at the Fraldarius estate. ]

[He knows Felix's enthusiasm for swords pretty well by now, after all. But he gives a little huff of a laugh for that.]

Did you? Mei was discouraging me from discarding things, but...

Sellund? Is that the name of the blacksmith?

[ Or he supposes it could be the name of the area where the sword has originated from. ]

I did. That's just like Mei to say that, but if an item like that has no practical use and looks as ugly as sin you may as well toss it, or use it as target practice.

[ It's probably no surprise that he would say something like this. ]

The country. Their style of weapons is fairly different from our own, like Baldr's katanas.

[But, at the latter comment, he has to stifle a smile. Trust Felix to be able to dispel some of his tension.]

That's a use that hadn't occurred to me. For your magic?

I don't think I've seen his yet. [ Yet!! ] But, I suppose I was thinking of a blacksmith since there's a famous one that I know of back home.

He's usually not so good at that, but it's not like he's going to stop himself from doing it if he can. ]

I haven't exactly used it for my magic since I'd broken it before tossing it away, but there's an idea. Just toss it up on one of those targets outside and have it a go.

Ah. We have that sort of thing in our histories or stories, but...

[Well. There just aren't enough of the original people left in Tir Na Nog for there to be much of a legendary anything. That thought slides away before it's fully surfaced.]

I might have to do that. Baldr has a way of retrieving things I'm trying to get rid of otherwise. [And now he has more cat ears.]

...It isn't a bunch of those weird toys I mentioned before, is it?

[ He too has a collection of cat themed things lying around, but that's just because it's him, and because it is catte-themed. So natually keeping such things is totally practical (no.) ]

It was some cat ears, last time. And I received refills for that glitter cannon of his. ...But I suspect he'll like those toys if he sees them.

[In retrospect, Garfield is probably trolling him on purpose.]

Hmph. I recall seeing him use that glitter cannon on Garfield during that party. So far I haven't found myself caught up in any of that nonsense, but I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to get you with that thing.

['Why' is a deeper question that Nuadha still can't address himself. But he makes a very wry noise at that question.]

...I'm used to his sense of humor. Even in the palace, where he had to show a little more restraint.

I doubt you minded regardless. He's shown himself to be a capable man, for however easy it is for him to give into frivolity.

He's always been capable. But he's the object of enough jealous rumors without adding to the situation with that temperament. He would always say he was showing restraint, but...

[Well. It's an old complaint, more reflex than anything. Nuadha gives a little sigh and shoots Felix a long-suffering look for that scoff. He's looking forward to laughing if Felix ever finds himself on the wrong side of that glitter canon.]

It doesn't matter now. So it's no wonder he's no longer containing himself.

[Should he warn Felix? No, absolutely not.]

I do recall him speaking about idiots he had to deal with back home.

[ His lips do twitch upwards into a little but brief teasing smirk in a blink it and miss it when he is given a long-suffering look, though.

Yeah, if he gets glitter cannon'd he'll absolutely deserve it and to be laughed at. ]

I suppose it really isn't much of a surprise when you do put it like that.

[ He begins to pack up some of the things, figuring he's not going to stick around here all day, and probably grab something to eat. ]

Since I'm done here, I'm going to make something. If you want to eat, you can come along or not. Your choice.

[Nuadha tucks the WHIS deck away into whatever serves as pockets for him and nods. He might not have been the greatest enthusiast about food since dying, but he can't help but brighten at this offer.]

I'd be glad to come along.

[And it serves his first reason for coming to look for Felix in any case.]

[ If Felix packs up much more swiftly once Nuadha confirms he's coming along with, it is surely just your imagination. ]

[Nuadha kneels to help Felix with the packing, but the question gives him a moment's pause, at least half because most of the foods he can think of are ones that would be difficult with the ingredients here. So... pivoting instead to what he thinks Felix likes.]

Though, he's going to allow an amused smirk appear on his face. ]

[ No offense Nuadha, he actually finds it endearing he answered like that? ]

Probably some turkey this time to spice things up. If you've got a preference for a different kind, I might be feeling generous enough to pick something else, though.

[Without fully knowing why, that smirk is extremely embarrassing to Nuadha. He might be blushing just a little, though it's harder to see against his tan and with his face turned down as he focuses on what he's doing.]

...I have no objections. I'm taking advantage of your generosity as it stands. Although I've been observing enough in the kitchen to be of some use.

[ Felix does chance a look towards Nuadha, and boy he does not quite see it because his face is turned downwards. But if he did? He'd definitely think it'd be nice.

Anyway, he wraps up the packing sooner than later thanks to the other man's assistance, and begins to head towards the kitchen proper. ]

But if you feel so strongly about it, I won't object to you lending a hand.

[He gives a little chuckle, because the challenge in the way Felix phrases even innocuous things is maybe more than a bit endearing, and straightens up to follow.]

It's an important life skill, after all. [A very deliberate echo of Felix's words, if he remembers them.] I prefer learning through action. I assume you're the same.
