[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

Hundreds of years? How exciting! Well then, I'll go ahead and arm myself properly!

[ She turns away just long enough to pluck one of the practice spears from the racks and bounces it lightly in her hand. ]

Do you have a preference for who should make the first strike?

I will give you the first go. [He brings the daggers up and sinks slightly into a defensive stance. Surely this won't be too hard, right?]

Well, if you insist. Then...!

[ That's all the warning he gets before Bryn darts right at him with her spear, a winding blow aimed right for his abdomen. ]

[She's faster than he anticipated, but not so fast that he can't dodge out of the way, moving back and to the side, creating a few illusion clones to obscure which direction he dodged in.]

Ah! What a terribly sneaky trick!

[ Her eye darts from one illusion to the next to try and pick out exactly which one she needs to go for – but of course, she has no way to tell. So instead, she simply picks at random and goes charging for the one still closest to her. ]

[Here target turns out to be a clone, the spear passing right through it as it disapears with a faint shimmer.]

[ For now, though, she's going to pitch her spear at one of the copies then go darting after the other remaining. All she has to do is pick them off one by one and she'll be done, right? ]
