[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

[On Monday, there are several deliveries piled up in the front hall. Separated into piles and marked with the name of who ordered them, the majority of them are blind boxes (a few had already arrived Sunday and this is the second, larger wave of shipments) but a few are marked with a "SPECIAL ORDER: FOR [NAME]" with the purchaser's name.

[among those piles in the Great Hall is a rather sizable one for one (1) Prince Wu. Why is it so sizable?? Well, aside from the alcohol and decorations and other things he ordered, there's also a feather bed, bigger than the bunk in the dorm, that it all sits on. When Wu sees it, he lets out a whoop, before jogging over to it and immediately flopping face-first down onto it. After a moment, he rolls onto his back with a happy sigh]

Ah...it's perfect! Finally, I'll be able to get my actual beauty rest!

[First thing in the morning, Loki can be found in the Great Hall, inspecting his modest pile of stuff. In particular he seems most interested in the Cerberus plushie and the strange animatronic thing babbling nonsense at him as he eats the ice cream sandwich before it has a chance to melt. ]

[ Seeing the book illustrations was one thing. They were close but not entirely accurate, so while it was a surprise to see them it still wasn't the same as seeing the real thing.

But that plushie. That toy, despite very much not being the real thing, looks so much like her that Orthrus finds himself stopped like a deer in headlights when he sees it, unable to look away. ]

[ The voice from him is uncharacteristically small and quiet, and he doesn't even realize right away what he just said. ]

[It's more a noise than words by the time Orthrus' words reach Loki's ears, but it makes him turn nonetheless]

[For some reason, this morning you'll find Mei in the training room. She's rolled up her kimono sleeves and is trying to walk on the balance beam. Trying, because occasionally she'll get distracted and slip --]

[-- and crash in a heap on the floor. But other times, she manages the walk perfectly, even if she looks like a shaky pile of nerves doing it. So there's improvement.

In the afternoon, Mei will be in the library again, this time reading something about ghosts. Probably fitting, given what her title is. She'll look up and wave if she sees you.

And when night approaches, she'll be hanging around the dorm hallway, apparently too nervous to try exploring alone at night. So this will have to do. Now that night has fallen, she's on the lookout for any ghosts, spirits, or anyone she doesn't recognize.]
