[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

[That our dear resident cookie was going to try his baking...somehow it made Katsuya feel a little self-conscious. Would this be offensive to Red Velvet? Well, perhaps not because these are not alive? Doesn't seem like it, given he didn't get scolded as soon as the muffins were seen. All that remains is receiving judgment.

And it's positive! Katsuya feels like he can breathe at ease!]

Good to hear. I have never done this professionally, but I'd like to think I do have the right skills for it nonetheless.

[Katsuya went into police work to take care of his family, even though he's the eldest son. Maybe at some point in the future this huge responsibility will lighten up enough for him to do dessert baking professionally, even though he never went to school to be a patissier]

That's a citrus mousse. It's a tart recipe -- somewhat fancier than the tools I have here should have allowed me to create, but I did what I could.

[It's pretty good, for someone without the right tools! Despite everything, the quality of the ingredients was decent enough]

[So much praise! He really can't remember the last time he heard this much praise -- his job doens't leave that much time for baking, so he doesn't get to do it often, much less show his skills to people who don't know how good he's at this]

I wouldn't mind passing the recipe to you, if you wold like to try making it yourself someday.

Mmm. Yes! I would like that very much. [incorporating a citrus mousse into his cake soldiers at home may afford them some unique properties, after all! Plus it's tasty]

I'll write it down once I have a moment. There's a lot of free time to fill and baking can only do so much, no matter how much I like it.
