[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

From one of the blind boxes. [Wu leans it against the table, before hopping up to sit on the edge of the table, sword between them.] Apparently it belonged to Stella's ex.

[Wu leans back a little on his hands, watching Zenos]

I talked to Stella. So. She knows she can come to me if she needs me.

But...she might also ask you for help. Whether that's here or somewhere else. So...if she asks for help, I want you to help her to the best of your ability.

[He's resisting the urge to scoff and we're going to consider that growth. His eyes rest on the sword for a moment.]

[there's a part of Wu that absolutely takes that backhanded compliment to heart, with no small amount of pride of having earned any kind of compliment, even one like that, out of Zenos. That part really annoys him--enough that it twists his mouth a bit]

...For the sake of transparency, I will make it clear that I can help her perfectly fine without it. And while some real steel is tempting, it is perhaps not quite as much as you may think.

I don't know, not for sure. But Stella seems to like you and you seem to get along okay. You get things about her in ways that I don't. [he doesn't like admitting that, but if it might get Zenos to agree--]

Interesting. [He'll reach out and put a hand on the sword, closing his eyes a moment. It is not joy, not even close to it, but there is a certain... satisfaction to a real blade.] ...Very well. I agree to your terms.

[Wu blows out a breath, then, that stiffness to his posture immediately vanishing as he crumples into himself a bit] Oh, whew! Swell! [he laughs a little, something relieved and definitely releasing of a whole LOT of nerves that were built up] I really wasn't sure for a minute there if you would agree or if you were just gonna take it one way or another.

Good thing I'm so convincing. Maybe I'm getting the hang of this leader thing after all!

Do not take this as a diplomatic victory of any kind. Your persuasion needs work and your insight is lacking.
