[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

[ She takes a moment to let that sink in before letting out a long, slow breath. Like a sigh of resignation. ]

I see.

Very well, then.

[ And then before she's even fully turned away from the Alchemist, she bolts. Fast enough that it's startling, just quick enough that she manages to clear a good few feet before anyone can stop her from darting clean across the room and snatching the front of Bruno's clothes. With her eyes white rimmed like they are now and her teeth on display, she looks less like a girl and more like a rabid animal that's a hair away from biting. ]

[Oh for--

Zenos moves, about as fast as Bryn does and within moments he's there behind her. He just pulls her off, as if taking a feral cat out of a fight by the scruff of the neck.

He's a bit stunned as to why he even did that, but. Too late now.]

well, zenos has got it, she keeps dragging wu out of there before bryn gets any ideas to go for the next weakest link]

[ And much like a feral cat, she lets out an angry yowl from deep in her throat and furiously wriggles in his grip. She's still got a death hold on Bruno's clothes and when she isn't able to follow through with her now transparently murderous intent, she follows the yowl through with a snarl through her teeth. ]

[Okay, well, now that he has a moment he's just gonna let out a slightly surprised breath. And just so, he's back to his usual impassive self. Still holding her, pulling her further away.]

What a fine impression of a beast you're doing, Princess.

But no, not today.

[ The further away she gets and the more obstacles put between her and her target, the louder she gets - a vicious little growl bubbling up from her chest that gets progressively nastier as she goes.

But it isn't until Zenos addresses her that it reaches its peak. At the word Princess, the growl erupts into a snarl and with her lips skinned back from her teeth, she lunged as if to take a bite out of him. ]

[She ends up taking a bite out of thin air as Bruno has been replaced by an illusion and a srap of torn fabric in her hand.]

[He doesn't even blink. Just holds her in place, absolutely unfazed, save for maybe the hint of a smirk on his face.]

Steady, now.

That's enough!

[ Okay something needs to be done about her so she can be put somewhere to calm down at least and kept from the others so you know what? He's just going to do what he did to Fenrir when the other wouldn't back down.

He manifests one of his magic shields and bonks her with it, hopefully enough to either snap her out of this or knock her out. ]

[ Those of her who've sparred with her this week will know she's a hard headed girl in uh every way that phrase implies - but even she has her limits and a hard enough blow like that to the head is enough to have her slumping over in Zenos's grip at last, out cold. ]

[... well, that certainly works! He was gearing up to do something similar, but he's very appreciative that he doesn't have to hit a lady now, even if the lady was somewhat... uh.]

[Bruno lets out a startled yelp and tries to scramble back out of her grip. He's tiny and weighs as much as a wet napkin, so presumably he fails!]

[Loki jerks him back, placing himself between Bruno and where Zenos is holding Bryn.]

Quiet. [He steps back with him and an illusion of the two takes their place.]

[Fortunately for those who would benefit from a diversion, Somnus already had four phantom swords of blue light floating around if anyone else got some bright idea.]

Enough. The next person to entertain this nonsense will answer to me. Such directionless hostility will serve no purpose, and I will have none of it.

[He goes with this one too, jerking as if intending to flee the room - but then he realizes what Loki's doing, and freezes up instead.]

[Making sure to stay between Bruno and the snarling girl, Loki slowly backs them up to the other side of the hall. Leaving the room altogether could prove dangerous if Bryn got out of Zenos' grip. At least here Bruno has the benefit of multiple people seemingly working together for his protection.

He brings a dagger out, just in case.]

[Obviously, Bruno's known the rules here just as long as everyone else. But still, it's never quite felt like the threat of murder was real until today. For the first time, he realizes that he is woefully underqualified for this - probably less able to defend himself than even the kids. He...very well could actually die here, couldn't he?

He lets Loki back him up, but places one slightly trembling hand on Loki's arm. He doesn't want to see anybody get stabbed over this.]

[ The commotion breaks Orthrus out of the state the envelope had left him in and in an instant he's trying to get between them and protect Bruno. ]

What do you think you're doing?!
