[One week down and (if the Alchemist's promise is to be believed) just three more to go. In the past week royalty has been bullied, explicitly non-Satanic chairs were ordered and you began the pact-bonding process with your new proprietor of mercantile wares, ✨Garfield the Deals Warlock✨.

All in all, a surprisingly good week despite the kidnapping and looming threat of death. We'll see how long that lasts.

[ It's Sunday! And what better way then to spend time in the Music Room? Azul figured it's as good a time as ever to brush up on some things, since there is indeed a music class at Night Raven College. He doesn't want to fall behind, even if he has been kidnapped. Besides, there haven't been any incidents, and everyone has been pretty chill. It seems like this won't change, right?

You can catch him in the midst of his piano practice! He's playing a few interesting tunes here and there, both with and without sheet music.

Or, perhaps, you can catch him warming up and singing! Mostly just scales at the moment, but he sounds very nice.

Later on, he's wandering around for the most part! Probably getting some spare paper from the storage room, cooking himself a meal in the kitchen, or peeking outside of the small windows, curious about what's out there. Anything, really! ]

Ah- thank you! Yes, I did.

[ He smiles, playing a bit quieter now that someone has arrived. ]

I was in a small band with some friends of mine when I was younger.

Oh, that sounds fun! So like a garage band? Or something more like orchestra?

More of a middle school jazz band of sorts, actually. Floyd took to the drums, and Jade preferred the contrabass. It was mostly a thing when we were younger, but I still take music classes now.

[ Felix doesn't exactly intend to come by and spend any time in the music room, but...

There is something that catches his attention. At first, he doesn't say anything, listening to Azul playing at the piano, but he lingers still until the other begins to sing.

He waits patiently until he's done before saying anything. ]

Not bad. I didn't know you were a singer.

[ Admittedly he got caught up in the sway of the music, so he didn't hear Felix come in. He tries his best not to let his surprise come through too much, though. ]

Yes- I dabble from time to time, not to mention the music classes at school.

[ Well, his real school, at least. ]

Do you sing?

[ A gruff response to the expression of gratitude but that's only because he never knows how to deal with people thanking him. ]

...No, I don't. But I know people who do.

What kind of school is it?

Ironically, it's a school that teaches all manner and variety of magic, on top of regular scholastic curriculums. Night Raven College, to be exact.

[ Just checking to see if the name rings a bell to Felix. Azul is kind of sure he isn't from Twisted Wonderland, but it doesn't hurt to check. ]

Is that Mozz-art?

[ He smiles, looking at the sheet music for a second before nodding. ]

I believe it is! The Turkish March, or Rondo Alla Turca.

...I don't know what those are!

[He recognizes the composer, Jake's the one with more specific musical knowledge.]

Sounds real good, though.

What I mean to say, is it's the name of the particular song I'm playing.

[ At least that's what it says on the sheet music. ]

Do you play any instruments?

Oh...that's nice. You play really well.

[Bruno leans in the doorway, listening. Been a while since he heard music so clearly.]

Ah, thank you very much!

[ He smiles, continuing to play. ]

Do you play at all?

Oh, no, not me. My brother-in-law always did - I mean, he still does.

[Don't mean to talk about Agustin like he's dead!]

He was really good, too.

I see! How nice.

[ He nods his head over to the wall of sheet music. ]

[ Olive hasn't been in choir in... almost a year now. She hasn't really felt much like singing since last summer. But while you can take the girl out of choir, you can't take the choir out of the girl, and someone is playing cool music on a piano.

And so, she pokes her head in. ]

Wow, you're really good.

[ He looks up as a new arrival enters and smiles. ]

Why, thank you!

[ He just nudges his head in a "come in" gesture while he continues to play. ]

Do you play?

No, but I was in choir last year.

[ Was she amazing? Probably not. But she's decent at singing and likes doing it. ]

So if you're calling voice an instrument, I guess I play that.

It certainly counts in my book. A voice can be of the most powerful instruments one has.

[Stella's lingering in the doorframe, not wanting to go in and interrupt, but-- Well. Girl's on a mission. She's got to go in eventually. So at the end of one of the songs, she claps from where she stands.]

I didn't know we had an actual musician amongst us.

[ Azul perks up at the clapping, seeing Stella in the doorway. ]

[ He lets out a little chuckle. ]

But yes, I've been playing since I was younger.

Hopefully a bit longer than a week. [you know. bc. they need to not murder anyone for a month.]

And you didn't quit in a fit of teenage rebellion? Impressive.

Oh yeah- in fact, I was in a small jazz band in middle school. I'm a very determined person- I can do anything I set my mind to... And it also helped I had other people to keep tabs on my progress.
